My name is Chris Tucker and I am a Republican candidate for State Representative in the 1st District. I want to represent this District by actually listening to its constituents. I will protect our freedoms that have been challenged these last two years and be a greater economic voice for our river counties.
I am a God fearing Christian, husband, and father of three girls. My family and God driven convictions have led me to the point of running for 1st District State Representative after watching so many of our personal freedoms erode in these last 2 years. I want my children and grandchildren to enjoy the same liberties that my family has fought for, by previous generations. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from Murray State University, and currently farm and drive a truck part time. I have been a self-driven, life-long learner. I promise to fully research legislation and its potential unintended consequences before voting on any legislation. I am humbly asking for your support and vote on May 17, 2022 in the Republican Primary.
If we join together and make our voices heard, we can fight for the change we want to see!
Voting serves all of us. Thank you for your commitment.
I will make a promise that the people of district 1 will be heard. I will make sure that communications to my office will be responded to.
Allow the citizens of Kentucky to recall elected officials when they fail to adhere to the principles for which they were voted in for.
Taking an active approach in preserving states rights and derailing efforts of the federal government to abuse the Consitutional rights of Kentuckians.
Creating a voting system to preserve the integrity of each vote to insure it is legally cast by a real person and only once. Prevent a "who can cheat the best" voting system.
Work to stop digital and in person censorship, no matter the physical location.
Insuring Kentuckians can carry out their legal ability to freely exercise their 2nd Amendment rights
Protecting the unborn and
defending each individual's right to exist at every stage of life.
I will work to end vaccine mandates and get government out of our personal health choices.
Dear Republican Voters in 1st District,
My husband, Chris Tucker, a God fearing, God loving, father of three girls, is running for 1st District’s State Representative. I believe it's important to hear why I think he is the best candidate for all Kentuckians. Yes, of course he is my husband and the only right thing to do is back any of his endeavors, however, this is an easy one. Chris and I have been married 16 years and met at our church about 18 years ago. I was drawn to Chris because of his godly nature and his down to earth personality while I admired his passions. I have learned over the years that Chris is an avid self learner, he never stops seeking truth and knowledge. This has been a huge benefit to our family. Chris is a problem solver. He fixes everything around the house, he can fly an airplane, rebuild a vehicle, fix farm equipment all while taking care of his family. This quality is key to representing the people of the 1st District, he will do his homework, because that’s his typical nature asking deeper questions, wanting to learn the ins and the outs. Because of this quality he may not be the favorite candidate for the political club as he will be a man for the voters rather than special interest groups.
Over the last two years our family has been hit by the COVID pandemic like most. My daughter was on the verge of death and I am not exaggerating. She spent four days in ICU with a total of 16 days in the hospital alone while I sat in the parking lot, my husband lost his job with the shutdown backlash, and our youngest began struggling to learn as the restrictions were not developmentally appropriate for young learners. While all this was happening my husband continued to daily seek God’s face in his Bible study, pour himself into the needs of his family and seek whatever he could to provide for us. Driving a truck supplemented the loss of his job when family farming was slow. When I think about all the days Savanna was so ill and hope was only in Christ for her healing, Chris was everything I needed in a supporter. As your State Representative I know he will take his role more seriously than the typical politician as he will be guided by the HOLY SPIRIT and have an ear to those who vote him into office. Chris doesn’t want to be a politician; he wants to be a representative for the people. He wants to be known to listen, read, and study proposed bills thinking about the benefits and possible unintended consequences.
During our marriage Chris has taught himself many things: digging into information, analyzing, and weighing decisions is one of his greatest attributes. He loves the Lord with all his heart and desires to follow his will in his life. Chris has shared that God has laid this burden on his heart for over a year. He desires to step up and help our wonderful Kentucky continue to be the best place on earth for our children and our future generations. I ask you to consider voting for my husband in the upcoming Republican Primary on May 17.
